Help Bring Back The Fear
by Lovehorror
It all started when I was seven years old and my cousin introduced me to a film that might be 'fun' to watch. It was the one and only Freddy Kruger and A Nightmare on Elm Street. After watching it, I didn't sleep for weeks. It scared the heck out of me!
Since then I've grown to love horror, but I've gone through an endless list of horror movies (which I love) in desperate search to find the one that will make me feel like I did when I was first introduced. But it seems I've built up immunity to the chills, jumps, creeps and gore.
I find myself envious of friends who are genuinely scared and afraid to look at the screen, or hiding behind a pillow saying 'let me know when it's over'. I want to feel that way again!
Help me find the one!
I hear they're making a new Nightmare on Elm Street which may be interesting. But any type of horror film that scares me would be great - from zombie gore to ghosts to demons.
For example, Silent Hill gave me goose bumps - the part where the air raid siren first comes in. I would like to hear other's thoughts on that film.
Thanks.
