Horror Flicks - Take Your Pick
by Ryan Clark

These are suggestions for each cato-Gorey (pun intended).
Revenge Flicks:
1. Carrie (1976): An instant classic, but if you can't take long build-ups, its not worth it.
2. The Final (2010): It's like Revenge of the Nerds, only darker. Very good 90 minute flick. Featured in 'After Dark Horrorfest 4'.
Slasher:
1. Halloween (1978): It's not a gorefest, but by no means does that take away from any of the fun.
2. The Nun (2005): You gotta look around for this one, but its good fun from across the sea!
Zombie:
1. 28 Days Later (2002): Incredible British flick! Bloody, gory, and tons of fun.
2. The Crazies (2010): Maybe not as good as 28 Days Later, but can compete.
Zombie Comedies:
1. Zombieland (2009): A zombie comedy with Bill Murray? A++!
2. Shaun of the Dead (2004): British fun!
Anthology Film:
1. Creepshow (1982): When we bring up Anthologies, who wouldn't think of this Stephen King classic?
2. Trick r' Treat (2008): Warner Brothers blows, holding this baby off for two years. This should also be watched on Halloween, along with the 1978 slasher.
Supernaturals:
1. Final Destination (2000): Plane Crash? Oh shoot! Now death's gonna kill me!
2. 1408 (2007): Most PG-13 horror flicks stink. Notice I said 'most'. This is the exception to the rule, based on the short story by Stephen King.
Monster Movies:
1. The Mist (2007): The 4th Stephen King flick on the list. The ending will shake you up.
2. The Wolfman (2010): Just cool.
