My personal best and favorite Horror Movies of all time (in no particular order)

1. Lake Placid - A fun and well made monster movie with an excellent cast, great performances and very witty dialogue.

2. Tremors - My all time favorite. Very likable characters, lotsa memorable scenes and some very cool creatures/monsters.

3. The Blob (remake) - Really gross but great monster and lotsa gory moments.

4. Final Destination - The most unstoppable villain ever (Death)? Some really inventive death scenes and very claustrophobic helpless feel to the movie.

5. From Dusk till Dawn - Must be the coolest Horror Movie ever! Great action and lotsa gore, plus Tarantino, Clooney and a great looking Selma Hayek.

6. Evil Dead 2 - Superb acting, effects and camerawork. A non-stop action-packed zombie movie.

7. Dead/Alive - Peter Jackson's fun-filled gorefest. One of the bloodiest, goriest Horrors I have ever seen.

8. The Ring (Naomi Watts version) - Truly creepy and very atmospheric.

9. Cabin Fever - Eli Roth's really cool flesh-eating virus Horror.

10. Deep Rising - Really enjoyable action Monster movie with a solid cast and great creatures.

11. Deep Blue Sea - My favorite killer shark movie - really well - made big budget movie.

12. Black Sheep - Really funny and very gory Horror about killer sheep in New Zealand.

13. What Lies Beneath - Really scary and creepy edge-of-your-seater. Gave me plenty of goosebumps.

14. Below - Really enjoyable "ghosts on a submarine" movie.

15. Dawn of the Dead (remake) - Well-made Zombie movie with a strong cast.

16. The Mist - What is worse - Horrible creatures in the mist or the Horrible things that people are capable of?

17. The Grudge (remake) - Truly creepy and scary movie with some really freaky scenes.

18. Frankenfish - I really enjoyed this little mutated killer fish Horror.

19. Sleepy Hollow - Great cast, great villian, great sets, great look and feel to the movie.

20. A Nightmare On Elm Street - a true classic!

Other Horrors that I really like, but missed out on my Top 20: The Frighteners - Event Horizon - The Faculty - The Thing - Darkness Falls - Gothika - Land of the Dead - The Cave - Snakes on a Plane - Silent Hill - 1408

Some interesting choices that I happen to agree with...Deep Rising, Deep Blue Sea, and The Ring. None great, but good, under-rated movies.

Remakes?
by: Lauratheaxewieldingmaniac

Kudos on the monster movies!
You put down a lot of remakes. Do u not like the originals or have u just not seen them? Dawn of the dead, orignial is way better then the remake! same w/ the grudge and such!
