To Big Rat!! I SAW THE SAME MOVIE!!

I read the comment from Big Rat...
and that's the movie I watched too long time ago... maybe 20 years ago or a lil more... when I was maybe 6 or 8... anyways the one I remember is the giant rats and the flood... and I want that movie I can't find it...
Even though special effects were kind of poor at those times but let's be honest... they were the best horror movies ever... I know there are good horrors movie now... I guess the fact that now with a computer everything is possible, it makes it believable but at the same time is not that scary anymore... that's the way I see it.

Hey Brian, it's great ain't it, i've watched it again, it's kinda cool and funny to experienced it again, ahhh makes me wanna go back to the good ol days again, young and innocent heh.

I think the movie wouldn't be made the way it is now because of animal rights :x

I've never forgotten this movie!!!

Thanks so much for posting this! I remember seeing this as a kid. I couldn't recall anything about the movie except for the rats and the twist at the end which, even as a kid was a bit ridiculous (but incredibly memorable...20 something years later and i've never seen anything as ridiculously cool). Now I can track it down and watch it again! Thanks!

Other rat horror?

I remember seeing a movie about giant killer rats, I thought was called "A-RAT-nophobia", obviously taking off the spider movie with Jeff Daniels. I saw the film in an Embassy Suites around the time Arachnophobia came out, but have heard nothing of it since, and can't find it on the net. Don't really remember the specifics, I just remember how awfully fake the rats looked. It was a half-step up from Night of the Lepus, but with more blood. Ideas?

Other similar movie

I'm also looking for a "rat" movie that i saw as a kid during the 80s, but after seeing the trailer it's definitely not "Rats: Night of Terror."

From what I remember the movie I saw had giant rats and some kind of flood or river in it. I also recall giant rats roaming around a forest area. I saw this as a kid on TV so my memory is a bit shady. I hope you guys know what I'm talking about. Anyone?

Heheheh, I remember the movie. I am 27 now and watched in when I was 7-10 years in the cinema. In the hospital actually, where we, kids would go in the evening and watch horror movies. Loved being in hospitals. I think at the same time there was another movie about rats. Huge rats in some house, living in basement or smth, eating people. The usual plot. Anyway, I remember the movie. Not the title. But today I am planing to trace it:)

Its called Rats: Night of Terror. It was mad in 1984 and it was really bad but a great laugh. You can buy it on amazon i think.

This is incredible, I can't believe anyone else knows about this movie too Zombie Master and thanks for the recommendations, i bet they are as good, as a movie fan I guess i can try to find out for myself :)

Yo Ryan, yea the ending stuck with me for 20 years, like Don is a cheesy movie, but it's sure enjoyable 20 years ago when i was a kid, Don and Zombie already mention the title of this movie, it's Rats: Night of Terror. You can actually see one of the clips at youtube, try searching 'rats night of terror', man....i gotha tell ya, that clip cracks me up.

This site inspires me to dig out more classic horror flicks, i got a few under my sleeve ;)

OMG Bruno Mattei classic

First, I cannot believe that there are people out there that actually know about Rats:Night of Terror.
Second, if you enjoyed that you should check out S.S. Extermination Love Camp, Hell of the Living Dead, or Guardian of Hell. Bruno Mattei classics of trash.

Awsome that you remember "Rats: Night of Terror" (1983)

You are right about the bikers in an abandoned building, about the couple banging and moving off alone so the chick can get killed by a stuck sleeping bag, about two people surviving and racing outside, and the giant rat head on the guy in the protective suit.

This is a cheesy Italian horror flick...about a post-nuclear holocaust world I think.
