Horror Movies Made a Lasting Impression!

I'll never forget the first movie that got me hooked on horror. It began with the made for TV "Trilogy of Terror" with Karen Black in the 70's. I was like 12 years old when I saw it and it seriously freaked me out. I think I watched it alone and was left unattended at the TV (shame on my mom). It was the beginning of countless nightmares over the next few months that followed and to tell you the truth, I never really got over it. That Zuni fetish doll seriously wigged me out for the long haul. So it began, a regretful desire for watching horror.
To this day (age 42) I can only watch The Exorcist every year on special occasions (marked my calendar for Halloween night after the kids go to bed) once.
Horror in the 70's & 80's I believe was the highlight of the genre and everything that followed these movies capitalized on there ideas and rode there coat tails.
Oh yes, almost forgot another classic “Rosemary’s Baby". If you haven’t seen these movies please do. They're pivotal for the horror genre.
