Horse Jumps Into River From Parking Lot

I remember watching this movie a while ago with my family about a black stallion / racing horse gets out of it's trailer in a parking lot over a river and jumps (is pushed?) over the railing into the river.
The family tries to stop it before it jumps, then looks over the side and sees a big patch of blood.
What is this movie?
