How Do You Define a 'Horror' Movie?

What do you consider a "horror" movie?

I think everyone has their own opinion.Horror movies to me mean scary, gory, frightening and shocking movies.

There are so many sub-genres like Vampire, Zombie (my personal fave), slasher, torture porn, and so many others.

So how do YOU define "horror"

Just me wondering is all,
