No offence or anything, but I think you're being a bit close minded. "Shaun of the Dead" is an instant classic, along with "Saw", "Scream", "Final Destination", "The Descent", "Slither", "Jeepers Creepers", "Sleepy Hollow"... while most may not be as good as the classics from the 70's era ("Dawn of the Dead", "Halloween", "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre", "Suspiria"), some of the new ones do have a lot to offer.

I agree, Nothing made recently compares... although the slasher "Wrong Turn" is good... for a slasher

I Love 70's Horror!!!

That is a great decade!
The most recent horror film I think I enjoyed was Audition (Japanese) although the early 90's had several good ones such as The Reflecting Skin.
