In Love With Being Scared
by Tiffany

Am I the only one who enjoys watching a really great horror film more than a love story?
Everybody I know thinks that because I'm a woman I should love romance and sweet comedies. But honestly I'd rather watch something that makes me want to check under the bed before going to sleep.
I think romance is overrated. Horror movies may not be realistic but neighter are love stories. People don't fall in love that quickly and things don't always work out for the best like they do in the movies.
I like things to scare me and make me afraid. It's fun to turn the lights down and watch something that's gonna make me jump.
I mean, isn't it more fun to go to the drive-in or the dark theater late at night and watch something that's going to make you check the backseat of your car before going home? Something that will make you look over your shoulder in case someone's following you?
Or how about when you're in your house and the lights go out or you hear a strange noise? Or to be driving down a dark, long and winding road in the middle of no where all by yourself and wonder - am I really alone? What if my car broke down?
Then there are those horror films that are scary for the simple reason that they could really happen.
Always look behind you!
