Inbreds on a Plane

Many years ago, about the late 80's, I remember being over at my friends house & watching a really dodgy double feature VHS... the kind you would only find in one of those old school video vans that did the rounds back in the day.

The vague memory I have of the 1st one started with a bunch of suits having a discussion in a TV studio possibly awaiting a return of someone or something (I told you it was vague).

The next I remember was a plane landing at an airport which I think was situated near the studio. Then a bearded man appeared, I think he was a doctor or a an army pilot of some sort. Just as the people at the airport were ready to greet him a mutated head appeared & a plane load of zombie-like bloodthirsty creatures stormed out & started attacking everybody. Then the studio was attacked & everyone killed.

Eventually the whole town was overrun & then the country. I remember it ending with the survivors holed up in a bowling alley (although this could be the ending to the 2nd film)

Which was-

Not as good as the 1st but involved a bunch of potholers slowly being munched by a strange slimy type blob with teeth or something in a dark cave.

These films were probably out late 70's to early 80's & any clues would be most appreciated.
