Kids Left Alone in House Where Gateway to Hell is Basement

I'm looking for a horror movie where there's a gateway to hell in the basement. The parents are out of town and the only two people in the house are a teenage girl and her little brother. I think the little boy is actually the main character and the sister listens to metal.
