Killer Robot Movie Similar To 'Deadly Friend'

I'm looking for a 90's horror movie (not Deadly Friend) that has a killer robot in it.

The basis of the movie is this kid wins a contest and they give him a robot. It has very high intelligence and plays a shooting game with the kid, his sister and friend.

After realizing it did not actually kill the kid, the robot begins to adapt and 'upgrade' its weaponry. It then starts killing people.

Any ideas?
