Killer Serpent Mask

I remember watching a horror movie when I was about 10 years old. All I can remember is this one scene. I hope that maybe some one out there can tell me what the name of this movie is. Here's the scene I remember:

A man enters a dark basement filled with various crates, he finds one already open. On top he finds a mask. The mask is black with sliver accents (and very evil looking) he examines it, then puts it on. Soon after a woman enters the basement looking for the man, when she finds him wearing the mask he doesn't reply to her. He slowly approaches her, grabs her with one hand, then a serpent like thing comes out of the mouth of the mask and takes a chunk out of the woman's neck killing her. The man then rips off the mask completely freaked out and runs off.

That's all I can remember of the this flick, I know it's not a lot to work with, but for some reason this is a very vivid memory for me. Anyone know if this is a real movie or was this just some wierd dream of mine????
