Large Bat-Like Creature Attaks Man's Head

I am looking for an old horror flick and here is the only scene I can remember from at least 40 years ago. I wish I could remember more.
A small flying bat like creature that looks like a Tiffany lamp shade flies through a pair of curtains, and attaches itself to a man's head. The man falls down and blood starts seeping out.
Any ideas?
