Man Falls in Love With Ghost And Drowns Himself in Lake To Be With Her

Trying to find a ghost story and though you could help.

A man moves into a house and first sees a ghost while working in the cellar. Rather than being scared he's fascinated. He finds something from her in the cellar, follows leads and finds that she drown in a lake nearby. The ghost eventually seduces him, and he goes to drown in the lake to join her.

Subtle movie, no graphic horror scenes, but well made and creepy in a unique way. I thought 'White' was in the title but am having no luck.
