Top 200 Horror Movies of All Time

Of course, all of these are just my opinion, but these are the best horror movies ever, ranked from 200 to the #1 of all time. You probably won’t agree with all of the movies on this list, but that’s what makes it a good list. I’d like to note that I haven’t allowed popular opinion to effect my rankings. “Classic horror movies” (i.e. from the 20’s and 30’s) are given their due as well as “great classics” from the 60’s through the 80’s… but the list is not weighted either way. New and old alike, popular and obscure… all have a shot. The whole point is to raise awareness of great horror movies that people miss or never hear of.

And without further ado, the top 200 horror movies ever!

'Tremors' 150?
by: Anonymous

Tremors is one of the greatest movies of all time. It should easily be in the top 20 if not top 10. It is by far Kevin Bacon's greatest role (not his best acting mind you). Just because it does not have the scare factor of The Exorcist or the gore factor of Friday the 13th does not mean it wasn't a good movie. They were giants worms that came up from the ground for goodness sake!

Okay silly rant aside, Night of the Living Dead should be before Dawn. Without Night, there could be no Dawn. It started the genre and therefore should be recognized for its greatness. It above all other zombie movies captures the human element perfectly, and lets face it that is really the appeal of the zombie apocalypse genre.

Shaun of the Dead in the 60's but Dawn of the Dead in the late 70's. Someone forgot to tell you Shaun of the Dead was a comedy.

'Saw'?

Saw was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and the sequels that followed.
