When The Zombie Master Lee Roberts decided to tackle the task of writing reviews for the Masters of Horror series he had no intention of writing reviews for all 13 episodes of Season 1 at one sitting. He figured that he would write a couple and others would write a couple until they were all done - a collaborative effort of sorts. When he got started, however, he just couldn't stop. He then moved on to Season 2 and will likely continue as long as the series does.

The Masters of Horror episodes were originally going to be released on DVD individually by Anchor Bay Entertainment. They were already fully financed when Showtime came along and wanted to use them as a series.
The idea behind this series of short horror films was to get the top horror film writers and the top horror film directors together so they could work their magic. In some instances what was produced was sheer genius while others were rather mediocre to say the least. As a whole the series was a great concept with even greater follow through, and deserves a look-see by any one who is a Horror Freak.
What follows is a synopsis and general thoughts for each of the episodes in the Series. As additional seasons and installments are created this section of BHM will expand to ensure that the Horror Aficionado is well armed with knowledge as to which are worth a DVD purchase and which should be passed by.
