First an admission. I wrote and directed Medium Rare but haven’t looked at it for 20 years because it was 'shelved' when the production company and distributors went bust. So, I look at it as something I forgot about long ago. I actually wrote it 30 years ago when I was a student at the National Film School of England. It was supposed to be a black and white 'film noir' set in foggy London. But the only way I could get funded was to go 'camp' in LA.

I have to say it makes me laugh. I have a sick sense of humor when it comes to poodles and heads in micro-waves, I admit. But Burt Young and Lainie Kazan are hysterical in this. I wrote it, I directed it, and now I'm having laughs many years later.
