Movie Cover of Monster Peering Around Brick Wall

I've wondered about this movie for years and years ever since I saw it's box on a rental shelf as a little kid. The cover was of a slimy, bulbous, multi-faced creature peering partially around a brick wall on one side of a dark alleyway. The tagline went along the lines of "If you can hear it, you're already dead".

Just curious if anybody anything about what movie this might be. Thanks.
