Interesting choices. I also tend to prefer older ones, though there are some rare exceptions, like there are a few recent underground and foreign films that I like, however I detest contemporary ultra- mainstream Hollywood type movies. Anyway, my own top ten personal favorites are:

1. Eraserhead '78

2. The Brood '79

3. Andy Warhols Blood For Dracula '74

4. Alice,..Sweet Alice '78

5. Blood On Satans Claw '71

6. Island of Lost Souls '34

7. Freaks '32

8. Conqueror Worm '67

9. Horror Express '72

10. Lap!.. Lap!.. Lap!.. Lap!.. Lap!.. Lap!.. Lap!

That last one there being one of the few more recent movies that I actually like.

Let's see...11-13...
Warlock Moon is a low budget (I think made for TV) movie that creeped me out as a teenager. I think I saw it for the first time around 1981 or 1982.

The Tempter is an Italian exorcism film. It's pretty hard to get; at least it was when I bought it a few years ago on VHS. If you do get a chance to see it, the opening scene is in Italian but the rest of the film is in English. Creepy stuff.

Race with the Devil..ahhh, one of my faves. Peter Fonda and Loretta Swit are in it, believe it or not...it's about 2 couples that take a road trip in an RV and witness...something...I won't give it away. It's a must see!
