Need Help From the Best Horror Minds!

Hi! After years of going crazy trying to remember the titles of these horror films I throw down the gauntlet and ask for help on these two:

1. The Horror Movie that scared the hell out of me when I was younger

The first film is one I saw late one night in the 80s. All I can remember is that a woman goes to check on her baby in a crib as a devil wants it..maybe. Then a guy is looking at a manhole and he is then stabbed in the neck by what looks like a trident such as the devil would have. All the while the baby is in the crib under the covers.
Although I was young when I saw this one the jist is that the devil wants the baby and he lives in the sewers under an American.

2. A Film like The Village by shyamalan

This one could of been a BBC drama. I saw it in the 80's.

There were four kids in hippy-ish clothes in what looks like old times; huts bow and arrows etc. They live near a big forest where at night there are weird ugly white humanoid monsters in it. They're not allowed to go past a certain point as thats the monsters area. They practice killing a rabbit with a bow and arrow and at one point they find a dead monster thing. It's like a pure white human thing - it definitely looked British. The movie The Village reminded me of this movie.

Sorry if this is vague. Both were seen in the 80s as was born late 70's, and were on British TV.
