‘The Exorcist’ TV Series Might Really Happen
Horror is hot right now on the TV networks and it seems everyone is tying to get a piece of the money pie. Even if it means making a disaster out of a horror classic.
William Friedkin’s 1973 horror classic The Exorcist is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary this year and now we are hearing talk of something that will make most horror movie fans furious. According to Deadline a TV series take on William Peter Blatty’s best seller is being talked about. Morgan Creek, which has the rights to the property, is shopping an Exorcist drama series penned by hot young feature writer Jeremy Slater. Supposedly there is interest in the project from broadcast and cable networks. Roy Lee, executive producer of The Departed and The Ring, is set to executive produce. Last year, Morgan Creek and Lee shopped an Exorcist limited series project with a different writer, Sean Durkin.
