Oil Rig Monster's Killing Spree

I am trying to remember a title to a horror movie made in the 80's. It took place on an oil rig. A woman gives "birth" to this monster that begins killing everyone on the rig. It was low budget... saw it on TV late at night.

I thought it was "the terror within" but that is apparently the title to this George Kennedy movie that I vaguely remember.

Can anyone help?

Searching for alien movie

Hey guys, I am searching for an 80's movie with an alien or something that attacks some cavers or miners, and ends up killing all of humanity. The star is a woman that in the end runs all over the empty city. The monster has no shape and is just red. It takes the form of people or objects, but in a red color.

Does anybody know? thanks
