Owl in Film Where Girl Dies in Car Accident

Does anyone remember the name of an early 90's horror movie about a little girl that's killed in a car crash on her way home from a dance recital, and then haunts her family?

Her dad is driving and she is thrown through the windshield. She has a sister named Kaitlin (?) who was riding in another car with their mom. And there's something about an owl in the movie.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know - I've been looking for this movie for ages.
