When I was twelve years old I went to my friend's house and there was a girl there talking non-stop about horror movies.
She convinced me to watch one with her - Hellraiser. I didn't really care for it, but then I watched Stephen King's IT and I was hooked!
From then on I've watched about one horror movie a week, my favorite being Suspiria for its suspense. I am very picky in that I don't like the slasher movies many horror freaks do - Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc.
I like movies like IT, Suspiria, The Shining, White Noise, etc.
A few slasher movies I did like were the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Candyman and Nighmare on Elm Street.
