Poisonous Snakes and Cannibal Inn??

I blogged this looking for the titles of two movies I can't remember with no response, so I'll try it here.

I remember seeing a movie in the 70's at a drive-in. The only 2 scenes I can remember are (1) An old couple awake at night to find this guy standing at the foot of the bed and he begins to throw poisonous snakes on them and (2) This same guy is driving (in the desert?) and he sees the faces of his victims in the rear-view mirror.

Another movie I can barely remember involved these college students who go to stay at this retreat in the mountains which it turns out, is run by cannibals. I remember one girl escapes and finds a sheriff who, I think, knocks her out and she comes to laying (naked?) on a table and one of the cannibals looks over at the sheriff and asks him if he prefers white or dark meat.

Any help would be appreciated cuz I've been wondering if these films even exist... or are they figments of my demented imagination?
