When one sits down to watch a film called Porn Shoot Massacre expectations are understandably low. This isn’t Citizen Kane after all. The advantage to beginning an Indie film experience with very low expectations is that it is easy for one to be pleasantly surprised by a passable product. In this case, pleasantly surprised I was indeed.
The film begins with simple piano music and a young woman taking a shower in a scene that looks to be
straight from the Playboy Channel (from what “people” have told me�about the Playboy channel… I of course wouldn’t know from personal experience). The sultry brunette soaps and lathers her lithe body, paying particular attention to the impossibly large bosoms that could make an entire maternity ward sit up and cry “Mama!” Ultimately there is only one correct way to open a film called Porn Shoot Massacre, and this is it. The fact that the (now very clean) young women jiggles out to her car to go to the set of her latest porn film and is subsequently murdered brutally would be the logical next step, and that is exactly what happens.
Cut to the set where the director, made up in a preposterous wig and false mustache, anxiously awaits the arrival of his lovely porn stars. The porn epic has cast all of the
most notable stars in adult film and will have “a little of everything”. As we find out later�“everything” includes love scenes, lesbian domination, S/M and midgets… but you’ll have to watch the film for details. Suffice it to say that every prima donna porn goddess in town has a part and one by one they arrive ready to work her magic for the camera; and one by one they fall in a gruesome way at the hands of a very large masked and non-speaking killer.
Will any of the porn hotties escape alive? Will love flourish between the porn queen and her shy male costar? Who is that masked man with a sledgehammer? Why is the
director wearing a disguise? Are midgets proportionately small everywhere on their�bodies? Is there a hooker with a heart of gold ANYWHERE that can make sense of it all? All these questions and more are answered in Porn Shoot Massacre. The one unanswered question is whether the young lovelies in this film are actually porn actresses or if they just play them in the movies. Could go either way... they are all certainly sexy enough.
Porn Shoot Massacre is exactly what one would expect, with a lot of elements that you might not expect. The acting is passable, the story is interesting and the production quality is acceptable. Plus there are many lovely ladies with little to no clothing to cover their near-perfect bodies. Don’t set your expectations too high for this film, but don’t feel compelled to set them too low either as that is just not necessary. You may just find yourself pleasantly surprised as well.
