Possible Tim Burton Animated Horror With Monster in Boys' Sleep

I remember watching an animated horror when I was very young and I've always remembered a particularly scary scene where a small boy is in bed and it's dark all around. He appears to be having a nightmare as there is a creepy monster trying to catch him when his eyes are open. The monster makes a sort of cricket sound. When he catches the boy with his eyes open he steals them and the boy walks to the next scene where he lines up with several other kids with no eyes.
It looked like a Tim Burton style animated horror. Can't remember the name of it. Can anyone help?
