Psychotic Room Mate

I remember watching a film on TV where a woman's new flat mate keeps her locked up in a room and he murdered people who got in the way of him sharing the flat with her.

One day they have dinner together and she poisons him and tries to escape but he comes after her.

I would like to see this film again but can't remember the name. Can anyone help???

I don't know the name of this movie but I think the woman being kept was played by Justine Bateman.

Hey I think the movie you are talking about is Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (1962) starring Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Great movie!

...then I'm looking for it, too. Was there a scene where the woman writes 'Help Me' with a black marker on a page in a book and drops it out the window where an old lady or man is standing? But the psychotic roommate intercepts it and tells the man or woman it's just someone's shopping list? If so, it's been bugging me for a while.
