Sandstorm Traps Teens in Haunted House

I watched a movie when I was younger, probably around 1990, I don't know what it's called, and I only have a vague memory of what it is about, but this is what I can tell you...

A bunch of teenagers go to visit a house that had been burnt down (or it looked like it from the outside), when they walked through the front door the house looked as it did before it was destroyed and whenever the kids try to leave a fog or sandstorm (not sure which one) would take them back to the house. Also they couldn't drive away because as soon as they turned their car engines off they wouldn't turn back on.

I also think for some reason that one of the kids may have been connected to the house in some way.
