Scared of Clowns and the Bathroom Because of IT

He's an Evil One

The movie that still scares me to this day has to be IT.

When I was 7 my friend and I were at her house and we started watching IT. But, I had to leave before the first half was over. For almost 2 years I couldn't go in the bathroom alone.

When I finally saw the end of that movie I was 12 and still scared of clowns. Every time I watch IT, I rush to get out of the bathroom. But I love that movie, it may be the scariest movie I own.

OMG you too? I first saw it when I was babysitting my cousin. I watched the whole movie and freaked. I couldn't go into the bathroom without something blocking all drains, and the shower curtain pulled up and over so I didn't think Pennywise the Clown was hiding in the bathtub. I just saw it a few nights ago in a old house alone - you can guess that I didn't get much sleep.

IT was one of my favorite horror movies but I don't understand how it can frighten someone that much.

I mean, I watched IT when i was only eight and I loved, it but it barely scared me then.

I think we have something in common

I too was just seven yers old when I watched IT. My older brother wanted to watch it and my parents let him (he was 14). I snuck in behind the lazy boy chair to see what all the fuss was about. That movie changed so much for me. My room was themed in clowns. I had loved them. Every time a clown came into town my father would make sure I got to see them. We grew up in a very small town and occasionally in the summer clowns along with a few cheesy rides were set up in the parking lot of our local grocery store. After seeing IT i begged my parents to change my room (eventually they changed it to rainbow brite). Until then i wouldn't even go in there. I slept in my sister's room with her. Even today i get a little nausous around clowns. Last month the Kosair Shriners put on a weekend circus and I took my children. My youngest is four and she took such a liking to the clowns. I couldn't help but think....if she only knew.
