Severed Hand Flips Off Camera

I remember watching this pre-90's horror movie where a severed hand crawls up a wall and flips off the camera.

I also remember there being a square wooden opening to some sort of crawl space or basement in a living room with a scary possessed woman in a chair.

I'm not sure if it's a zombie movie or not. I keep thinking it's part of the Night of the Living Dead series but I don't think that's right.

Can anyone help me?
