Save Me From Myself!

Nagging need to know about a flick from the 70's.

It was about a girl who goes to live with her estranged father after her mother dies. Her confidant is a creepy doll who starts calling the shots (inspired by Magic?). People start dying - is it the girl the doll or something else???

Turns out the girl is really a boy who was forced to be a girl by crazy mom. Saw it when I was small and still bugs me, any help on what this was??

Also...

I would like to know if anyone is familiar with a Vincent Price movie (cannot find it in his bio's) where he is telling 3 stories... one is about a man whose car breaks down and is taken to a village for repair. The townspeaople are weird but there is a hot chick that tries to 'motivate' him to get out of town quick before the elders find him. He doesn't, elders try to eat him... He escapes and is found by police. He is relieved for a short time until he realizes that they are driving back into the town... The police turn around to show him their pretty teeth and let him know the elders are waiting.
