Slug and Appendage, But a Zombie?

Zombie Master,
Yes I know I am picking a lot of your brain today. I can't help myself it is too tasty.
Now the movie "Night of the Creeps" the slug type creature invaded the bodies of the dead and living, now when it invaded the dead, they were reanimated, they gave the idea of being alive. When the slug creature invaded the living body it killed them, then brought them back as a Zombie? I would think killing and then bring them back as a Zombie would be in it's own class. What do you think?
And... I promise this is the last question for today, in the movie "Idol Hands" an appendage was the Zombie in question, now this appendage had the ability to kill. I wonder what would you classify that as? The people killed were dead, however they seemed alive, well other than some things needing to be duct taped.
Thank you for lending me your brain!

Nicole,
We really should stop meeting like this I mean what would the neighbors think?
Ok, consider this your first lesson in "Intermediate Zombology".
The zombies from "Night of the Creeps" were of the genus "Zombus Xenus". Very similar to the "Zombus Demonicus" it includes all forms of extraterrestrial bodily invasions that either resurrect the already dead or kill a living host and resurrect the hosts dead body.
Never forget rule #1. If not dead first then not a Zombie.
Good hunting and aim high,
The Zombie Master
