Snake-Woman Spits Acid on Crucifix

I rented this early 90's film at a sleepover and I can't remember the name of it.

A woman is involved with the occult. Some sort of snake worshiping? She is a snake-woman who can change her appearance and when she transforms she looked bluish (almost like that girl from X-men).

In one scene, she spits acid on a crucifix. In another she has fangs like a snake.

Hope someone knows what I am talking about.
