Souls of Murdered Children in Fireplace Hearth

Does anyone remember this movie about a girl (orphan?) who visits an empty house and finds evil?
She stays there a while before she realizes it's haunted by the souls of a family. The souls are of an angry father who killed his many children, of a mother who I think hung herself or was hung by her husband and the murdered children.
The girl ends up gettting hurt or dies and is lying on the floor in front of the fireplace. The hearth with designs of children on it comes to life and starts to pick up the girl and carries her farther up the hearth.
