Stop Motion Animation Horror Film?

This question is going to lack quite a bit of information because i barely remember seeing this movie as a child.

From what I can remember the movie took place in a house (possibly white). There were many grayish colored "monsters" featured in this film and I believe their motor skills were made possible with stop motion animation techniques.

The end of the movie involved a person (possibly a boy) launching a replica space shuttle into a larger monster that busted out of the floor.

I apologize for this horrible post, but it is all i can remember of this movie. Let me know whats good! Anyone know the movie I'm looking for?
