It's called American Gothic (1988).

It does seem similar to the movie Mother's Day; however, the son was very tall with a heavy build, and the victims were men as well as women.

The old woman dresses up the male corpses in suits and ties, the tie being the 'key element' for her.

Could it be Mother's Day (1980). I've never seen it but I used to see advertisements for it.
