The damage was done.......

The birth of a Horror Movie Addict happened the minute I sat and watched Friday the 13th with my older brother. I was about eight years old and it scared the bejeezies out of me. I had the worst nightmares ever that night.

But I woke up from those nightmares with the biggest grin on my face. I was scared to death in my dreams and I loved it! Being a little kid growing up in a strict Baptist home in the 70's, I had no easy access to horror except the late night black and whites on Saturday, where having two older brothers was pretty handy for getting away with sneaking into the TV room late at night to watch them.

I think my fate was sealed when I sat in the theatre and watched Night of the Comet and went home to have nightmares about Zombies. Weeks later Night of the Living Dead came on late night cinema, and it was all over for me.
