The Four Best Horror Movies With Female Leads
by Kookakicha
Rosemary's Baby (1968)- I don't think I have ever felt so anguished for a character as I have felt for Rosemary. The actress played out so well the naive character that it became almost painful to witness her obliviousness to what was going on around her.
The Orphanage (2008) - The mother looking desperately for her supposedly lost son is one of the most persistent characters I have ever seen. Not to say that the haunting atmosphere of the movie and that scene with the psychic weren't really unique.
Let The Right One In (2008) - I know that the Vampire, Eli, is supposed to be a boy but since she has developed to be a girl, I can assume that she is a female character. There has never been a more ruthless yet so endearing vampire in my opinion.
The Descent (2005) - With an all female-cast, it is my personal favorite horror movie of all time. Every single character's pain is felt thoroughly in the movie. The audience becomes so attached to them that their deaths become almost personal. The movie also relies on more than gore to provide scares. The stuffy atmosphere of the caves is really there and tension builds up so well. I can't tire of it.
