Great Horror Movie
by: ann

Do not normally watch horror movies but when I started to watch this movie, I was riveted. Could not take my eyes of it. Rutger was brilliant - the bad guy you love to hate. Watched the one with Sean Bean but no comparison. Will watch it again if I get the chance.

Thanks
by: Tom

Hey, thanks Lauratheaxewieldingmaniac, and GirFanFreak, glad you enjoyed the reviews (i only just discovered this comments thing, im not hugely computer-literate!) and I will definitely keep in mind not to spoil the ending, I have a crazy habit of assuming everyone's seen the same movies as me! Anyway, take care, til next time, happy horror viewing!

The Hitcher Reveiw comment
by: GirFanFreak

Wow, I heard what u wrote, or typed anyway. I had no idea the old one was completely different from the new version. The Hitcher (1985) sounds even better than the new version!!

Great review
by: lauratheaxewieldingmaniac

You write amazing reviews! I think I remember you writing another review on here that was equally amazing! Keep it up - I love reading them! Although Ive heard talk about the film quite a few times ever since the remake came out, you really made me remember what a great film it truely is!
One thing, im sure there are many horror newbies that come to the site who probably never heard of the hitcher...please give them a heads up in the begining if your gonna spoil the ending. Thats always been one of my pets peeves!

Cheers!

Psychological Horror
by: The Horror Czar

Hey Tom,

I agree - what made The Hitcher great was not the overtly terrorizing elements of a big lug lumbering around with an ax, but the psychological elements of the hero being marked by a mad man. The theme of the killer wanting to be caught, wanting it to end... and having that desire fuel the obsession adds depth and true tension to the situation.

This one has me squirming every time I watch it, even for the 15th time...

Thanks for the great review Tom! This has been added to the BHM primary database.

Don
