That Evil Tape from The Ring!
There is only one time that a movie really got my heart beating - louder then any drums - and created the kind of tension that flips your stomach upside down as if burning through it like acid.
I remember it so vividly. I was 11 and that night I couldn't get to sleep so I went into the living room and turned on the TV. Everybody was deeply asleep.
What I found on one of the channels, being played as the last movie of the day (or night), reached out and glued me to the screen.
The Ring.
I was sitting about a meter away from my TV, legs crossed, biting nails from the tension and my eyes were wide open from what I saw on the screen. Dead silence and absolute darkness, except for the light coming from the television. I was glued to the floor, horrified to move and right after the movie ended the screen suddenly changed into rainbow stripes and all the sound that there was, was 'beeeeeeeeeeeeeep' as all the programs were done for the night.
Oh my gosh, I swear I couldn't get up to get the lights and walking every step towards my bed I kept thinking 'I watched the tape'...
I couldn't get to sleep for a long time, but honestly... wow.. I'd give so much just to go through that fear once again.
