The Ultimate Horror Addict

Dee Snider as Carleton Hendricks in 'Strangeland' (1998), a film which in my humble, should be added to the 100 top horror films
It all started not long after my 5th birthday. My mom and I lived about a block away from my aunt and uncle and would visit them regularly. My aunt had a fairly substantial movie collection and would let me borrow anything that caught my eye.
For weeks I had seen these films with a man wearing a red and green sweater, and glove complete with finger knives. I had always been interested but never asked if I could watch them. I guess I figured no one would let me. Finally one day I decided to take a chance and ask about them. My aunt wanted to check with my mom and I was sure she would say no. I guess we caught her on a good day because to my surprise she agreed to allow me to watch one.
Little did she know that she had opened the floodgates and created a monster, an ultra horror addict, one who would watch anything that promised a glimpse of death, murder, mayhem, gruesome ghouls or nightmarish fiends.
I am now 21 years of age and a seasoned veteran of horror. My collection grows by the week and my taste in horror is ever-expanding. I'm the one that all my friends, new and old come to with their horror questions. As a general rule, if I haven't seen a particular horror film, it's just because I haven't gotten around to yet. It's been quite some time since someone uttered the name of a horror film which I haven't at the least heard of.
