Top 20 Awesome yet Gruesome Horror Flicks

Basketcase - Great, yet very disturbing and extremely gross movie. I love this flick because the sounds alone can turn your stomach, not to mention the brutality of the mutant twin.

The Beach - A great horror/sci-fi movie about alien monsters that live under the sand. Very original, but very hard to find on DVD.

The Dolls - Classic B movie with bad acting and great killing scenes. Loved it.

CHUD - I love this flick, very gross and very entertaining. Who does not love monsters that live under the very streets we walk on.

Return of the Living Dead - Classic Zombie movie, one of my all time fav's. Pretty good story and plenty of gore.

Dead Alive - One of the grossest movies I have ever seen, with some bad acting and a few really good one liners you cant go wrong.

Night of the Creeps - Great college horror flick about slugs from space that breed in your brain. Need I say more?

The Stuff - Great B horror flick about killer food. I love it. Cool and funny.

Vamp - Great campy vampire flick with Grace Jones. Gory, funny and I loved every minute of it.

Piranha - Who doesn't love killer fish! I loved the sound effects in this movie.

The Blob (remake) - Great gory movie with Kevin Dillon and Candy Clark, just loved it all around.

The Beast Within - Great scary movie. One of the first I had seen about genetics with some great special effects.

Phantasm - Awesome, gory, scary, super cool movie. The embalming/hearse driving tall man and those freakish dwarfs scare the crap out of me every time.

High Tension - One of the all time best horror/gore movies I have ever seen. The story in this one is genius, loads of blood and tons of twists make this one a must see.

The Thing - This is on my top 5 movie list. Great special effects, good story, good acting and scenes you will never forget. (I have never to this day forgotten the scene with the dogs) totally traumatizing.

Dog Soldiers - Not really scary, but great movie with cool werewolves and tons of gore, interesting story line and another must see.

Undead - Great Australian Zombie movie about people being turned into zombies by meteorites. Very gory, tons of fun and one of the strangest plots.

Dawn of the Dead (remake) - I loved this film, it had everything, story, gore, tons of Zombies, comedy and they even threw in a zombie baby. This was a great remake.

Brain Damage - Great B movie with gore, comedy and a really weird plot. Pretty good special effects and some very memorable scenes involving a singing brain.

Sleepaway Camp - This is a great B horror flick with tons of gore and one of the most unsuspecting endings I have ever seen. A must see.
