Top 5 Horror Films

1) 28 Days Later

The best "non-zombie" horror movie I've ever seen. It has that terror feeling that crawls up your back, and instead of the dead rising from the grave it's a Rage virus that pisses people off beyond Insanity.

2) Dawn of the Dead (2004)

Don't get me wrong, the original is a very good movie, I just liked the remake better. It's different than the original, different people, and different storyline (other than zombie invasion and they go into the mall)

3) IT

This is a long movie, with one side "the past" and the other "the present". Both are equally exciting. The movie didn't sound so good at first, but after seeing "It" I was glad I went to the theatre.

4) 28 Weeks later

After expecting an alright sequel, even though directed by someone different than the original, this movie is way different. The virus has been wiped out, and people are moving back to reconstruct their once great country. But the Virus breaks out for "unknown reasons" and starts the whole thing over again, bringing the gore, frights, and jumps back to the screen.

5) Final Destination

The two sequels that spawned after were good, but the original was the best. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The deaths were great and the actors and plot were awesome too. Too bad it felt like more of a thriller, and less of a horror.

/or/

5) Hostel

This movie is gross, but at the same time really great. I still think they overdid some parts though. (Still gives me Nightmares!) Watch out for salad fingers.

The Ring and The Grudge are really great films. A Nightmare on Elm Street and Mirrors are good ones.

I agree with one comment about IT putting you to sleep. I don't know how old you are but if you have seen IT then you must've seen other films from the 80's.

The Exorcist was one of the best in all aspects. The Shining is another freaky film. Evil Dead has both horror and comedy. A Nightmare on Elm Street, hello?! Halloween. And some zombie films made in the 80's.

The films that u have mentioned are new except IT which is original and great. If you'r talking about new films, the Japanese version of The Ring is one of the best, and The Others.

(sorry about the long comment)

Grudge has more horror. I wasn't able to sleep for five nights afterward.

Final Destination?
by: Anonymous

Final Destination is not really horror. A horror movie is a movie you have in your head for a few days, and can't sleep over.
