George C. Scott yeah, old General Patton, that was my daddies favorite movie. You should check out 'The Haunting', thats another ghost story in a similar vein, but its older (1963). 'The Brood' is also among my own personal top ten favorites.

My Top 10 Favorite Horror Movies by: Anonymous
I have a pretty obscure taste in movies...I started watching horror films in the 70's and for me, nothing beats the "feel" of those films...the creepy dread and fear of what can't be seen. I'm not a big fan of most of the newer ones...they spoon feed everything to you and it's all effect. So...with all that being said, here goes. I have many favorites, but I'm going to keep this list to 10, not in any particular order.
1. Let's Scare Jessica To Death (this one scared me to death, and it still does.)
2. The Omen (original)
3. The Exorcist
4. Rosemary's Baby (one of my all time favorites; still creeps me out).
5. Night of the Living Dead
6. The Shining
7. Bram Stoker's Dracula
8. The Reincarnation of Peter Proud
9. The Changeling
10. Race with the Devil
I have so many more favorites; this is just the short list. I loved the old, low-budget films, the made for TV films (Dark Secret of Harvest Home, etc.). Some of friends totally "get it" and enjoy these films too while others say "how can you watch that crap?" I think they're crazy! It's nice to be on here sharing with like-minded people. Note: I did love two new movies: Diary of the Dead and 30 Days of Night.
