Top 6 Horror Films That Scare Me To This Day

I watched a ton of horror movies when I was a kid, but it really took a lot to scare me. I never had nightmares from horror movies, because I always knew the movies were fake, even at a young age. Movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Friday the 13th (1980), Hellraiser (1987), Stephen King's IT (1990), etc. Don't get me wrong - I loved these movies as a kid and still do, but the following list is strictly a personal one, with the films that chilled my spine and still creep me out to this day:
5. The Shining (1980) (first saw on VHS)
If it wasn't for Jack Nicholson, this movie may have flopped. His acting is superb. Stanley Kubrick = Genius. The girl twins and the bathtub scene still get me.
4. The Sixth Sense (1999) (first saw in theaters)
The twist blew me away, and is still known as one of the best twists of all time. The little girl under the tent, and the wife with the slit wrists is always bone chilling.
3. Pet Sematary (1989) (first saw on VHS)
Zelda.
2. The Blair Witch Project (1999) (first saw in theaters)
The ending scene, enough said.
1. The Exorcist (1973) (first saw on VHS)
What I can say about this movie that hasn't already been said? Probably the only movie that was able to horrify me all the way through. No doubt, the scene with the twisting head and crucifix masturbation will always terrify me.
