Townspeople With Scarred Faces

by Anonymous

Does anyone remember a 70's horror film where a woman takes pencil/chalk impressions from old headstones and hangs them on her wall as a hobby or art project?

And all the creepy townspeople have the same scar on their face?

I think towards the end the woman is chased down by a scarred guy on a tractor.

Laura,

Thanks for posting, you just put a title to a 30 year old memory from my youth. I saw this on TV around the late 70's and never forgot it, sooo creepy! The shots of the headstones always stuck with me. Just ordered the DVD and cannot wait to see it again. You made my Halloween!

Movie title 'Let's Scare Jessica to Death'
by: laura

You are thinking about the 1971 film in which the main character, Jessica, is recovering from a mental breakdown. She and her husband Duncan decide that a stay at an old farm house in Conneticut would help her mental health. The town can only be accessed by a ferry. So, along with her husband and good friend Woody they arrive in town where the locals are very unfriendly and bear scars. While living in this old house they encounter a squator named Emily. Emily seems to be a free living hippie, and eventually convinces the trio to let her stay. Little do they know, Emily is a 100 year old vampire who originally lived in that house. As a hobby, Jessica our heroine, likes to trace grave stone images. During her stay at this farm Jessica is constantly trying to hold onto her sanity as she starts hearing voices and seeing things.

This is a great horror film!
