Two 80's Horror Films: Girl in Duffel Bag Stabbed by Screwdriver; Girl Chased by Flying Monsters

I actually have questions about two 80's horror movies, but all I can remember are two tiny snippets of them.

The first movie features a girl in a blue duffel bag being stabbed by a man with a screwdriver. I think there was another girl watching.

In the second movie, there's a girl being chased through a house by little flying monsters, cherubs or demons. She locks herself in a closet only to have them rip through the door to get at her.

Any ideas?
