Two Films: Green Gooey Footprints On the Wall; Man Hater / Killer

A childhood misspent sneaking looks at horror films on cable when my parents' backs were turned has left me with blurry memories of several movies. Two in particular have driven me nuts for years. Since I'm watching horror movies in honor of Halloween it got me thinking...and now I'm obsessed. So on to the movies:

The first one is a classic startle and scare horror flick, probably from the 70' or 80's. A family movies into a new house and a boogeyman terrorizes the smallest child. He leaves green footprints on the walls and ceiling of the house. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

The second one opens with a mother shot or stabbed and lying on a bed dressed in a wedding gown, and her young daughter by her side. The mother is grabbing her and telling her to never, ever trust men. The rest of the movie focused on the daughter, grown up, and working on her seduction/killing skills with a series of men.

Do either of these movies sound familiar to anyone out there? Any help would be really appreciated!
